Terms for content submitters

You are invited to contribute your photographs to the Charlie Darwin Shirt-to-Dirt online database, which is designed to capture and curate the process of linen degradation as an ecological process. The Shirt-to-Dirt database is maintained by Charlie Darwin Textiles.

• By submitting material through this form, you are granting permission to Charlie Darwin Textiles to preserve, reproduce, and distribute your photos (not your email address or last name) as part of the Shirt-to-Dirt program. This permission includes the right to modify your material to conform to the goals of the Database, to reformat it as necessary to preserve its perceptibility and usefulness and to make it available for educational, research, and promotional purposes outside of the Database, in perpetuity and in all media formats. This license does not authorize the exploitation of your contribution for profit or commercial use. You retain ownership of and copyright on the material you share.

• All submissions should be related to the experimental conditions of the Shirt-to-Dirt project. Any content that is not related to the Shirt-to-Dirt experiment will be removed from the Database.

• Submissions will appear immediately on the Charlie Darwin Shirt-to-Dirt site. They will be reviewed by site administrators and will be taken down if they violate these terms and conditions.

• Though contact information is required for the submission of material via the contribution form your email address and last name will not be made public.

• By submitting a photo, you confirm that you are the creator of the photo

• Submitted material must not violate any confidentiality, privacy, security or other laws. Please be aware that all submissions and any information associated with the submissions (email address, descriptive information, etc.) may be provided to federal, state, or local law enforcement or other government agencies pursuant to a lawful subpoena or otherwise as required by law.
