These scraps are remnants from fabric I hand-dyed using pigments from plants for my clothing line.
Each bundle will vary slightly (in shape and color), but will all include at least 12 pieces of naturally dyed fabric the size of your hand or larger (somewhere around 4x6" or 5x7" at the very least, but some much larger!) Roughly 90% of the pieces will be 100% linen, and the rest will either be 100% cotton or a cotton-linen blend. All are high quality and medium weight.
In this mixed pack, you may receive each of the following colors:
Medium Grey (TEA & IRON)
Brown (TEA)
Blue (INDIGO)Pink (CUTCH)
Dark Grey (CHESTNUT & IRON)
Fabric care: The art and science of natural dyeing takes time and attention, but it yields incredibly rewarding colors. Because these fabric scraps were originally dyed for use as clothing, they have been adequately mordanted for longer-lasting color. However, plant-based dyes naturally fade over several decades which is part of their charm and allure. To reduce fading, avoid high heat and long durations in direct sunlight. All of the fabric has been pre-washed and shrunk as a part of the dyeing process.
They have been washed and rinsed several times to remove excess dye, however, I still recommend that you wash with cold water if you wash with other items.
