Plant dyed:
This scarf is dyed by hand in any of my current offerings that you choose (see 2nd photo). I use pigments from plants to achieve rich earth tones.
The Fabric: 100% linen, softened, medium weight.
I love linen because of its strength and durability. Linen is considered to be the strongest of all-plant-based fibers, and gets stronger and softer with washes! I also love it for its low environmental impact, breathability, comfort, and versatility. I thrive on the natural wrinkles in the fabric... it's a lifestyle.
The Sewing:
This piece is sustainably constructed in my home studio using minimal-waste sewing. All edge seams are finished, meaning they are prepared to outlive the most active lifestyles.
I believe the garments you love should outlive you. So, I include a complimentary mending kit with every order, which contains matching scrap fabric, matching thread, a sewing needle, and a guide to visible mending. Repair is noble!
DUSKYWING - Linen Scarf - Plant dyed or undyed
Please machine wash cold & delicate with like colors, and then hang dry, or tumble dry on a delicate setting until 90% dry. For long-lasting color, wash infrequently, with a neutral pH detergent and avoid high heat or drying in direct sunlight.
