The MOTHER OF PEARL collared crop top is handmade from soft, high-quality linen that will make you look put together without even trying. Its loose, lightweight design keeps you cool and comfortable, but the durable fabric is not see-through at all. The flounce short sleeves have a unique drape that tips this shirt to be on the more feminine side, but still androgynous.
My signature wooden buttons on this camp-style shirt add an earthy romance for my outdoorsy adventurers, while the well-tailored collar is polished enough to take this shirt straight into more formal settings... It is truly a versatile wardrobe staple.

Naturally dyed:
Your piece will be naturally dyed by hand in any of our current offerings that you choose (see 2nd photo). I use pigments from plants to achieve rich earth tones. This shirt is made from the earth and after a lifetime of wear and tear, it will be 100% biodegradable.
**Please note: The shirt photo'd was dyed with a color that is no longer offered. The indigo blue will be a slightly brighter and bolder blue, as captured in the color swatch photo.

The Fabric: 100% linen, medium weight.
We love linen because of its strength and durability. Linen is considered to be the strongest of all-natural fibers, and gets stronger and softer with washes! We also love it for its low environmental impact, breathability, comfort, and versatility. We thrive on the natural wrinkles in the fabric... it's a lifestyle!
The Sewing:
This piece is sustainably constructed in our studio using zero-waste sewing. All inner seams are finished, meaning they are prepared to outlive the most active lifestyles. The bottom of this shirt features a raw edge which adds a unique texture. It is still reinforced with extra stitching but may fray little bits over many washes.
We believe the garments you love should outlive you. So, we include a complimentary mending kit with every order, which contains matching scrap fabric, matching thread, a sewing needle, and a guide to visible mending. Repair is noble!
When to wear:
You'll find that the MoP top pairs great with linen pants like the Capuchin, Oleander, or Saltwater. Wear it alone or layered on top of a dress or tank top. Made for all bodies and all types of humans.

Naturally dyed clothing will gradually fade over time, which is part of its charm. Please machine wash cold & delicate with like colors, and then hang dry, or tumble dry on a delicate setting until 90% dry. For long-lasting color, wash infrequently, with a neutral pH detergent and avoid high heat or drying in direct sunlight.
