My son is trans and wants to wear more boxy masculine fitting clothes, but his hips and butt give him away. Does anyone know how to manipulate patterns to camouflage those areas?

Making pants legs wider, for less taper that might emphasize the hips and more “straight vertical line” would help a bit. Features that are typical in masculine clothing like cargo pockets would also help with the lines and overall impression. My friend camouflaged his shape during transition by wearing a lot of oversized sweaters and shirts that basically hang straight from the shoulders to the hip.
