Adjusting saltwater set for curvy
Has curvy ladies made the saltwater set? Really not sure how the top is supposed to lay... or if I need an FBA. Please share if you have worked with this pattern.

My son is trans and wants to wear more boxy masculine fitting clothes, but his hips and butt give him away. Does anyone know how to manipulate patterns to camouflage those areas?
I made my first mock up for the finch. I did one sleeve short and one 3/4. I'm glad I did the trial run. I would like the short sleeve longer, the 3/4 shorter, and the front bodice a touch longer. I also think I may have gone a size too large based on my ease at the sides. I love the pattern and I'm glad I'm able to dial it in.

Thanks for sharing. I'm preparing to start a project and was thinking of first making it with an old sheet. It never occurred to me to try the different styles on one test garment ๐คฏ.
Not sure if I'm a curvy lady or not, but I've made 3 saltwater tops using the size guides provided with the pattern and I love all of them. I've also made 4 pair of the shorts-3 that I wear in public and 1 for wearing inside as kind of pj bottoms-cause I used light color light weight linen. Again I used the size as recommended with the pattern and the fit is so comfortable. So all that said, I'd suggest trying your recommended size in a wearable toile and see how it goes. Look forward to seeing your finished project!
